About museum
On December 21, 1990, the Yanshikhovo-Norvash Historical and Memorial Museum was opened in the building of the former two-class school, which was built with the active participation of the Chuvash educator I. Ya. Yakovlev. It was granted the title "People's Museum" by a decree of the Ministry of Culture of the RSFSR dated May 29, 1991. The museum houses over 6,000 exhibits, including documents on the village's origins, remains of ancient animals, tools, national clothing and embroidery, paintings and sculptures by well-known artists and sculptors, as well as priceless items such as an oak table, a school blackboard, a bookcase and a display cabinet. Search teams from the Moscow and Kaluga regions donated military artifacts to the museum. A visit to this museum is of great interest to visitors.
