About museum
The St. Petersburg Planetarium is a place where you can become acquainted with the mysteries of the Universe. Here you can see the starry sky, look through a telescope, visit an astronomical observatory, take part in a space journey, see a small planet and try out engaging experiments in the laboratory. The St. Petersburg Planetarium invites everyone to visit this place and treat themselves to unforgettable impressions from a journey into the Universe!
The St. Petersburg Planetarium opened more than half a century ago and has since introduced the city's residents and visitors to the mysteries of the Universe. Visitors can go to the Star Hall, where under the starry dome you can see the Milky Way and the movements of the Sun and the planets. The planetarium's astronomical observatory is the only functioning one in the city, where you can attend lectures and observe the evening sky through telescopes. In the "Space Journey" hall, viewers become members of a spacecraft crew, set off in search of mineral resources, explore the Moon and black holes.
