About museum

This local history museum is one of the oldest museums in Siberia, founded in 1823. It contains a monument of mid-19th-century architecture, history and culture, and a collection of 24,000 books on local history and methodological literature on museum practice. The museum's structure comprises five departments holding 192,237 items in its collections, as well as a photo collection, documentary archives and an exhibitions department. The museum conducts more than 1,500 tours, meetings and other events, with annual attendance exceeding 70,000 people.
