Yaiva Local History Museum
О музее
In 1974 a museum was established in the settlement of Yaiva; it was originally the museum of the Verkh-Yaivinsky lespromkhoz (forest enterprise) and later became a local history museum. The museum's main tasks are collecting and studying the history of the settlement and the region as a whole, as well as preserving and promoting these histories. The museum has three halls with permanent exhibitions and an exhibition hall for temporary shows. The collections include household and ethnographic items, exhibits on the history of technology, visual materials, documents, photographs, rare books, and taxidermied animals and birds. In November 2018 the museum was merged with the F. F. Pavlenkov Library and became part of the Library and Museum Center of the Yaivinsky urban settlement. In 2020 a participatory budgeting project was implemented to improve the museum grounds and the monument to those who died during the Great Patriotic War (World War II).
