While the word "quiz" may mean little to the older generation, college youth are well acquainted with this trendy form of entertainment. What, then, is there to talk about within the walls of "the most literary house"? Of course, about poets and writers whose fates at different times were closely intertwined with the Penza region!
Elena Lobankina, Deputy General Director of the Development Association, held the quiz "Literary Penza: Known and Unknown" for the students, which included 40 questions across 5 categories: "Literary Museums", "Finely Observed", "Interesting Facts", "Literary Portraits", and "Penza — for Great Art." The informational material was devoted to the works and activities of writers and figures of culture, science, and art connected with the Penza region. At the exhibition "Penza Land — to Russian Literature," students of the College of Transport Technologies, divided into three teams, energetically discussed the answers, debated, and ultimately reached the truth.
By answering the questions, the young guests learned many new things about the Association's literary museums and the events held there throughout the year, about A.I. Kuprin and V.G. Belinsky, L.N. Tolstoy and V.V. Mayakovsky, and much more.
After the results of the new engaging quiz were summed up, the students took an overview tour of the exhibition "M.E.M.", dedicated to the connection between three creative geniuses: director Vsevolod Meyerhold and poets Sergei Yesenin and Anatoly Marienhof.
