Exhibition 'Three Countries That Are Not on the Map'
About exhibition
In the museum's literary-memorial exhibition the most important stages of the life and creative career of the writer Lev Abramovich Kassil are reflected. The display features local history materials recreating the atmosphere of the town of Pokrovsk, the writer's manuscripts, photographs from different years, a book with dedication inscriptions, and personal belongings. Among the most interesting exhibits are Kassil's first publications in the magazine 'Novy LEF' edited by V. Mayakovsky, letters from K. I. Chukovsky and S. Ya. Marshak, a music box of L. V. Sobinov, and a ball autographed by L. Yashin. One of the exhibition halls introduces visitors to the hero of the book 'Conduit and Shvambrania' and offers the opportunity to take a virtual journey to the country of 'the greatest justice'.
