Exhibition 'We Don't Abandon Our Own. Penza Residents — Participants in the Special Military Operation'
About exhibition
The exhibition 'We Don't Abandon Our Own. Penza Residents — Participants in the Special Military Operation' tells about the role of residents of the Penza Region in the events of the Special Military Operation, their combat and labor feats. It was created as part of the implementation of the national initiative supported by President Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin to commemorate events of the Special Military Operation in museums and is timed to the Year of the Defender of the Fatherland. The central section of the exhibition will be dedicated to Hero of Russia Sergey Anatolyevich Grinin, whose awards, photographs, uniform, equipment and personal belongings were donated to the museum by his relatives. Visitors will also be able to see captured equipment and insignia of the Armed Forces of Ukraine: an American-made rifle, a container and fragments of NATO missiles, a wing of a locally manufactured unmanned aerial vehicle, and a quadcopter with an explosive charge. The exhibition also displays a modern Russian Army serviceman's uniform in full gear: a protective helmet, body armor, tactical belt, first-aid kit, scissors, pouches for magazine clips and grenades, a mock-up of the special assault rifle 'Val' and the container from the RPG-18 'Mukha' grenade launcher. In the center of the hall is a display group consisting of ammunition boxes with casings, missile fragments, shrapnel, shells, and containers from an anti-tank guided missile and the handheld RPG-18 grenade launcher. An interesting element of the exhibition is a reconstructed frontline dugout where items of front-line life are displayed. For information call: +7 (8412) 45-83-35.
