Exhibition "Salvador Dalí's Recipes for Immortality"
About exhibition
The large-scale exhibition includes more than 70 original graphic works by the outstanding Spaniard Salvador Dalí, his surreal objects in glass and bronze, as well as rare photographs taken during the artist's lifetime. Salvador Dalí is one of the most eccentric artists of the 20th century — fantastical, great, a unique genius, an icon of surrealism, a link between two worlds: the real and the irrational. Most of the exhibits date from the 1960s–1970s and are devoted to themes of divinity and immortality. Dalí dreamed of granting immortality to himself and to his beloved, wife and muse Gala. The result of these searches was the seminal work "Ten Recipes for Immortality." The collection includes unique engravings from the series "Mythology", "New Mythology", "Ancient Butterflies", "Romeo and Juliet", "Nine Landscapes", and other works that demonstrate the multifaceted nature of the master's art.
