Exhibition «Transfigured Nature»
About exhibition
The exhibition «Transfigured Nature» from the collection of the State Russian Museum (St. Petersburg) is the result of long-term fruitful cooperation with a leading Russian museum. The project will be a jubilee — the tenth joint exhibition. The exhibition includes 55 painted canvases by artists of the late 19th – early 20th centuries, including works by such well-known masters as Arkhip Kuindzhi, Ivan Shishkin, Ivan Aivazovsky, Vladimir Makovsky, Yuly Klever, Grigory Myasoedov, as well as rarely exhibited paintings by other outstanding landscape painters. The new project presents a particular genre of the Russian landscape — the dramatic, eventful landscape. It is filled with vivid natural phenomena: thunderstorms, fiery-red sunsets, the foaming torrents of waterfalls and a tumultuous sea, mysterious moonlight — all of which evoke delight and unforgettable emotions in the viewer. The exhibition program includes thematic tours and interactive activities, creative master classes, lectures and meetings.
