About exhibition
The exhibition presents the key stages in the history of the Novosibirsk militia: from the desperate fight against banditry in the 1920s and the tense struggle against the surge of robberies and assaults during the wartime and postwar years, to record-high crime clearance rates at the end of the Soviet era. In the exhibition sections visitors will find original archival documents and photographs; militia uniforms from different periods; equipment and forensic tools; awards and award items; a precious-metal lighter presented to Kiselev, head of the escort unit of the Novosibirsk GAI, by the President of France, Charles de Gaulle, after his visit to Novosibirsk; and many other items from the collection of the Museum of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for Novosibirsk Oblast.
