Exhibition 'From the Depths of Time'
About exhibition
The exhibits are authentic items transferred by archaeologists to the museum's collections following excavations. The display presents the results of many years of scientific research by Russian scholars who conducted excavations in Belgorod Oblast. Visitors will see finds unearthed in the village of Yutanovka (Volokonovsky District), the village of Khotmyzhsk (Borisovsky District), and the village of Dmitrievka (Shebekinsky District). The exhibits tell about the everyday life, social organization, and activities of the peoples who inhabited the Belgorod region in various historical periods. On show will be pottery — amphorae, a double-handled cup, pots, bowls, and jugs. Guests will also see jewelry, amulets, plaques depicting wolves, bears, and wild boar, horse harness fittings, and military equipment.
