Exhibition 'Civil War. Intervention. Mudyug'
About exhibition
The exhibition is dedicated to the events of the Civil War and the intervention in the Russian North, as well as to everyday life in Arkhangelsk in 1918–1920. Special attention is given to the history of the hard-labor prison on Mudyug Island. The fates of those involved are presented as the unifying thread throughout the exhibition space. The exhibition's uniqueness lies in the fact that it is a collaborative work by staff of the Arkhangelsk Local History Museum and participants of the 'School of the Young Museologist' project, in which schoolchildren and students were trained in the basics of museum practice and developed research and scholarly skills. Within the chosen theme, the young museologists studied the everyday and cultural life of the city and region during the Civil War years. They presented their research in the multimedia section of the exhibition space.
