Exhibition "Donbass — Russia: History and the Present"
About exhibition
For the first time in a modern museum format using the latest technological solutions, an educational exhibition project is on display. Visitors will learn about the inseparable historical ties between Donbass and Russia and will be introduced to unique materials from the permanent collection of the State Central Museum of Contemporary History of Russia and from private collections. The exhibition, consisting of seven sections, reveals the political, economic, and cultural significance of Donbass from the mid-19th century to the present day. It provides a more complete picture of the region's development, the rise of industrial Donbass, the construction of railways, the founding of new towns, the revolutionary and wartime periods, and the region's famous natives. Separate sections are devoted to recent events, the special military operation, and prospects for Donbass's development. As part of the exhibition project, guided tours of the displays, lectures, film screenings, meetings with historians, and round-table discussions are planned.
