The exhibition presents a collection of jewelry from the 1960s–1980s created by notable representatives of the Ural jewelry school. The display features works made from semi-precious and ornamental stones, where the stone — with the uniqueness of its color and pattern and the variety of textures — becomes the formative element. Vladimir Komarov employs the blueness of lapis lazuli, the natural beauty of malachite, the opacity of smoky quartz, the painterly quality of rhodonite, and the filigree jewelry technique. Vladimir Vasilkov demonstrates the expressive properties of jasper's natural patterns in pendants dedicated to the seasons. In search of new means of expression, Mikhail Lesik and Vladimir Fomin turn to a material uncharacteristic for classical art — brush-like crystalline formations. The exhibition also includes works by Vladimir Ustyuzhanin and Timargali Yamaletdinov, whose forms are based on geometry and a restrained color palette.
