Permanent Exhibitions of the Bryansk Regional Museum of Local History
About exhibition
For anyone who prefers a leisurely visit to exhibitions alone or with company, the Bryansk Regional Museum of Local History invites you to see its permanent displays, which reflect the natural distinctiveness and history of the Bryansk region. You will walk through the exhibitions of the Natural History and History departments, encounter the museum's remarkable artifacts, and take a journey through time from the origin of life in the Bryansk region to the beginning of the 21st century. The exhibition features almost four thousand items, including unique archaeological collections, manuscripts and early printed books, samples of Maltsev glass, peasant clothing and household utensils, relics of the partisan movement, and many other fascinating objects. The exhibits of the Natural History department tell about the plant and animal life of the Bryansk region. Here you can also see samples of ancient rock formations, fossilized plants, and the remains of animals that once inhabited this territory. A separate hall is dedicated to the Planetarium department's exhibition, where you can see items that have been to space and the personal belongings of cosmonaut V. M. Afanasyev.
