Permanent exhibition of the Museum of the novella 'The Last Salute' and the V. P. Astafyev House-Museum
About exhibition
Visitors are invited to see the authentic interior of the village house visited by M. Gorbachev, B. Yeltsin, V. Putin, A. Solzhenitsyn, N. Mikhalkov, V. Kurbatov and other well-known figures, as well as personal belongings of V. Astafyev. The memorial complex also includes the writer’s grandmother’s house — an estate reconstructed according to the book 'The Last Salute'. Such estates resembled fortresses: a fence surrounded a deep enclosed courtyard, around the perimeter of which buildings for livestock, haylofts, sheds for firewood and carts, a cellar and a bathhouse were arranged. Guests can examine agricultural tools and the interior of a peasant house and homestead of the first half of the 20th century. In 2014 a new exhibition hall was built, hosting the exhibition 'In the taiga on the Yenisei: nature and ecology in the work of V. P. Astafyev'. It presents a selection of the author’s main works and illustrations, editions of the Red Data Books and natural specimens of rare and endangered bird and mammal species of Krasnoyarsk Krai. The admission ticket does not include guided tours or access to the V. P. Astafyev National Center. Contact phone: +7 (3912) 34-74-00.
