Art Exhibition of the Valuyki Museum
About exhibition
In 2024 the Valuyki Museum celebrates its 60th anniversary! Staff invite visitors to the museum's art department to immerse themselves in the atmosphere of pictorial works of art. Explanatory texts inform visitors that the core of the exhibition is formed by works of A. I. Ignatyev — the museum's founder, a native of Valuyki and People's Artist of the Kyrgyz SSR. Many works were donated to the museum from the 'Rosizopropaganda' center under the USSR Ministry of Culture in the 1960s–1980s. Another large part of the exhibition consists of paintings and sculptures from the All-Union Artistic and Production Association named after Vuchetich, which entered the museum's collection in the 1990s. Visitors will become acquainted with exhibited items from the 'Painting', 'Graphics' and 'Sculpture' collections of People's Artists of the USSR B. V. Shcherbakov, D. A. Nalbandyan, S. A. Chuikov, Yu. I. Pimenov, E. I. Zverkov, L. E. Kerbel, and V. E. Tsigal. Everyone is invited to view the art exhibition.
