Orangery Complex Exhibitions
About exhibition
In the Tsaritsyno orangeries you can see a vast number of flowering and fruit-bearing plants. The orangeries feature various species of palms and araucarias, Chinese hibiscuses, fuchsias and other exquisite ornamental plants. Pineapples and various aromatic herbs are grown here: rosemary, myrtle, laurel and ginger, which were cultivated here back in the time of Catherine II. Among the 'modern' plants the exhibition is complemented by coffee bushes, bananas, papaya and oleander. The orangeries include figs and pomegranates, agaves and cacti, citrus trees and grapevines. Each greenhouse recreates the climate suitable for the plants that grow there.
