At the Museum of Siberian Entrepreneurship you can learn about the history of the Siberian Route and customs administration, step into a bustling fair, and see the shine of authentic Siberian coin. In showcases styled as merchant shops you will find goods and items of exchange that once arrived in Tobolsk from the East and the West. You can visit the gate chapel, where objects of ecclesiastical art are displayed. The Gostiny Dvor (merchant court) was built in the early 18th century to promote trade with Central Asia, India, China, and Afghanistan. By erecting this large stone building, the Russian government sought not only to reliably protect merchants' goods from fire and theft but also to give Tobolsk's trading center a more stately appearance. The museum also offers the opportunity to visit the Krapivnaya workshop and the residence of the Siberian voivode.
