Visitors to the Museum of Fine Arts can purchase a single ticket for the most popular permanent exhibitions: 'Kaliningrad–Königsberg: A Bridge Across Time'. Three centuries of the region's artistic life are presented to the viewer. Works by East Prussian and Kaliningrad artists sit organically side by side in a single exhibition, creating a coherent picture of art that tells about our city's life, its historical figures, and ordinary people with their joys and concerns; 'The City of Hoffmann. Mysteries of Two Worlds'. The exhibition space appears to the viewer as a city within a city. The sets from the animated film 'Gofmaniada' recreate interiors and city views of the 18th–19th centuries, transformed by Hoffmann's creative imagination and by the filmmakers who adapted his works. Points on the map of Königsberg from Hoffmann's era grow into landscapes of places associated with him. In the fictional city live the dreamers Ernest and Anselm, the salamander Lindhorst, the mechanic Mosh Paulman, and the seller of optical instruments who at any moment can turn into the sinister Sandman. Here townspeople attend formal balls and musical evenings, carouse in taverns, stroll along the embankment, unaware that their entire 'more real' world is merely the artist's dream; 'Ely Belyutin. The Formula of Time'. The museum's permanent exhibition is complemented by a section of paintings and graphics by Ely Belyutin, one of the most prominent representatives of unofficial art of the second half of the 20th century. The exhibition is timed to coincide with the artist's memorial day. It presents the master's work from his early realistic sketches through abstract expressionism to non-objective painting and his own artistic style of modular painting of the late period.
