About exhibition

The main areas of activity of the House of Nature are exhibition and display, public education, scientific-methodological work, scientific-organizational work, and collection management and preservation. The museum currently houses the following permanent exhibitions: 'Wildlife of the Polar Region', 'Ecology of the Northern Territories', 'Ethnography: Traditional Ecology of the Nenets', the guest chum "Myadonti Mya", 'Rare and Medicinal Plants of the Tyumen Region', 'Construction Project No. 501: History and Fates', 'Live Animal Corner', and the 'Aquarium Hall'. Visitors can also see the entomological collection 'World of Insects', the collection of rocks, ores and minerals 'Stone Rainbow', and a paleontological collection. The open-air ethnographic exhibition 'Guest chum "Myadonti Mya"' is particularly noteworthy. On the chum grounds and the House of Nature's homestead national festivals of the peoples of the North are held, such as Raven Day, the Sun Festival, the Bear Festival, as well as traditional Nenets rituals (welcoming guests, wedding ceremony).
