Visiting the permanent exhibition of the National Art Museum of the Republic of Sakha offers the opportunity for direct engagement with a wide range of visual arts (painting, graphic arts, sculpture), works of decorative and applied arts, and the legacy of folk artisans. On the second floor a broad panorama of Yakut art is displayed. Halls devoted to the work of Yakut artists introduce the main milestones in the development of the regional art school: from its inception to the present. The collection of Yakut painting, graphic arts, and sculpture is represented in all media and genres, styles and movements, and includes monographic sections dedicated to leading artists. These include works by the first professional artist of Yakutia, I. V. Popov; People's Artists of Yakutia P. P. Romanov and M. M. Nosov; and full members of the Russian Academy of Arts A. N. Osipov and A. D. Vasiliev. You will see works by well-known painters E. I. Vasiliev, T. A. Stepanov, I. E. Kapitonov, M. M.
