Exhibition 'Museum of the History of the Town of Kirillov'

The exhibition of the Museum of the History of the Town and District presents the interior of an urban residential house built at the end of the 19th century. In 1901 the wooden one-story house on Bolshaya Naberezhnaya (now Gagarina St., 103) belonged to the heirs of the peasant Aleksey Borisovich Kuznetsov. In the early 20th century the house was home to Ioakim Yakovlevich Nodelman, the physician of the town's zemstvo hospital. The museum offers a chance to look into the past and see how people in Kirillov lived a hundred years ago, what objects surrounded townspeople in their everyday life, and how the home interior was transformed for festive occasions. The juxtaposition in one space of urban household items from different eras serves as a reminder of several generations of Kirillov residents.
