About exhibition

MBUK "Historical and Art Museum" opened in 1988 and today consists of four exhibition halls: the Local History Hall, the Hall of Military Glory, the "Lukhovitsky Cucumber" Hall, and the Nature Tower. In the museum visitors learn about the history of their native region, how their ancestors lived, what they are famous for, and what contribution they made to the development of the country. The second hall contains information about residents of Lukhovitsy who participated in the Great Patriotic War and about how the city's inhabitants experienced those times. The third hall tells about the cucumber business, the technology of growing cucumbers, secrets of canning, and recipes. In the Nature Tower visitors can get acquainted with the inhabitants of the Lukhovitsy forests.
