Odysseus and Herma (dream). From the Odyssey series (1969-1973). Etching

The etching "Odysseus and Herma (dream)" from the Odyssey series depicts Odysseus — he is naked, falls to the ground upside down, his figure is turned about a third to the right. The Herma is visible on the right, a four—sided column topped with a sculptural head; it is tilted to the right. Odysseus looks up at Herma. The image is stylized: the shapes are light, and the background is black with small spaces. The work is done in the technique of etching on paper.
