Sultakaevsky Museum
About museum
The history of the Museum began in 1965 at the Sultakaevskaya school thanks to R. Z. Albekov and F. Sh. Agishev. By 2011 it had acquired the status of a "People's" museum, and in 2012 F. Sh. Agishev became its director, while L. P. Murtazina became the collections' custodian. In 2013 a resolution was passed to create the Municipal Budgetary Cultural Institution of the Alexandrovsky District of the Orenburg Region, the "Historical and Local History Museum of the Alexandrovsky District", which obtained legal entity status. In 2015 the Sultakaevsky Museum became a branch of MBUK "Museum of the Alexandrovsky District" and has four permanent exhibitions: the "Hall of Military and Labor Glory", the "Tatar izba", the "Mordovian izba" and the "History of the village of Sultakay". They display original household items, as well as banners, certificates of honor, pennants and the act transferring land to collective farms for permanent use. The "Tatar izba" exhibition recreates everyday life of the 1950s–60s, while the "Mordovian izba" presents items reflecting the history and culture of the Mordovian people.
