Saranpaul Local History Museum
About museum
In 1990, veterans of the village of Saranpaul proposed the idea of creating a museum to the council. In 1993 an Ethnographic Center was established, to which documents, photographs and household items were transferred. In 1999 a museum was opened on the basis of this center. Since March 2012 a children's association, the 'Historical Club', has been operating at the museum, making great efforts to make it interesting for people by applying advanced technologies. In 2012 the Saranpaul Local History Museum was recognized as the best enterprise of Berezovsky District. Since 2014 it has been located in the building of the Saranpaul House of Culture. Currently the following exhibitions are available: 'People of the Crystal Rivers', 'Lyapin Bread', 'The Geological Era of Saranpaul'. As of January 1, 2021 the museum had 4,107 storage units registered, of which 3,618 units are part of the main collection.
