About museum

The Fire Tower is a well-known landmark of Kostroma and a symbol of the city. Even Emperor Nicholas I expressed his admiration for it when he visited the city in 1834. It is an architectural monument from the first third of the 19th century, located on Susaninskaya Square. It is one of the five buildings of the main complex of the Kostroma State Historical, Architectural and Art Museum-Reserve.
