Floating lighthouse 'Irben'
About museum
The history of the floating lighthouse 'Irben' began in the 1960s in Estonia. It served to warn ships navigating the Baltic Sea of dangers. Over time it was replaced by more advanced lighthouses and moved to Lomonosov. There it fell into neglect, but thanks to people who remembered it, it was rescued and turned into a museum lighthouse. Today it hosts exhibitions about the museum ships of the Baltic countries and interactive areas that introduce visitors to the daily life of the lighthouse crew. Its light shines again, inviting everyone to an adventure into a world of stories and entertaining tales.
