Historical, cultural and landscape park Pokrovsky opened its doors to residents and visitors of the town on December 5, 2015. It is located on the right bank of the Pazha River, on the west side of the Pokrovsky Khotkov Monastery. A famous Pokrov Fair used to be held here. The park's total area is 6 hectares. Residents and guests relax on Vishnevaya Hill, and artists hold plein-air painting sessions there. The park entrance is crowned by a monument to Sergius of Radonezh and his parents, Kirill and Maria. Various events take place here: concerts, sports tournaments, festivals, master classes and circus performances. The park also has a permanent Park Café with a patio area, rentals of children's electric cars, bicycles and scooters, winter sports equipment rental, an ice rink and a sledding hill, board games, a sports ground, volleyball, basketball, table tennis, the Rubezh shooting range, trampolines, bookcrossing, a children's playground and a summer cinema. A distinctive feature of the park is its wonderful lighting, which makes it an atmospheric, magical place.
