Babushkinsky Park of Culture and Recreation
About museum
\r\nOn the northeastern outskirts of the capital, in the Losinoostrovsky District, lies the green and cozy Babushkinsky Park. It was opened in 1955 and named after the town of Babushkin, which had previously been part of Moscow. On a small area of 7 hectares there are numerous recreational facilities: sports and children's playgrounds, the Green Theatre, a dry fountain, an amusement park, a petting corner with squirrels, and the "Metelitsa" ice rink. The Center for Children's and Youth Creativity is also located there, where exhibitions and master classes are held. The park offers classes in Nordic walking, the ancient Chinese qigong gymnastics, and other activities. On the main alley stands a bust of M. S. Babushkin, as well as sculptures of A. S. Pushkin, a rockery with a she-bear and her cubs, and the steampunk sculpture "Steam Engine".
