Department 'Modern History of the City', Korolyov
About museum
The exhibition in Korolyov presents the history of the city's development from the dacha settlement Podlipki to a scientific center in the field of space exploration. It reflects the city's artillery past and also includes a memorial section with the office of chief designer V. G. Grabin reconstructed from original items. Objects and communication devices that are 'living witnesses' of military actions are also exhibited. In the 'space' section one can see models of rockets, spacecraft, vehicles, the first artificial Earth satellite and other items. The centerpiece of the exhibition is the working office of S. P. Korolyov, in which one can see samples of propaganda porcelain and a unique monumental work of the Soviet constructivist era. The exhibition presents the city's history and its development in the past, present and future.
