Osinsky Local History Museum
About museum
Osinsky Museum was founded in 1987 and in 1988 became a branch of the Perm Museum. It is located on the site of the ancient Osinsk settlement, dated to the 2nd century BCE and the 3rd century CE. The core of its exhibition consists of exhibits dedicated to the Peasant War of 1733–1775 led by E. I. Pugachev. Here one can see the unique diorama "Pugachev's Capture of the Osa Fortress". In addition, the museum displays interior items, household details, costume elements, everyday objects and traditional crafts, book monuments, cult items, musical instruments, and the national clothing of Russians, Tatars, and Bashkirs. Thus, the museum presents the secular and religious culture of the region, highlights the life of townspeople in the late 18th — early 20th century, and allows one to feel the atmosphere of a quiet county town.
