V. O. Klyuchevsky Museum
About museum
The V. O. Klyuchevsky Museum was opened in 1991 in the house where the future historian was raised from 1851 to 1861. The museum complex includes an adjacent house connected to the memorial building by a passage, as well as an outbuilding. In 2013, after reconstruction, the museum was presented to visitors. The memorial house recreates the environment in which V. O. Klyuchevsky grew up and displays household items of the Klyuchevsky family after their move to Penza. The museum also contains materials dedicated to Vasily Klyuchevsky's studies at the Penza school and seminary. Personal belongings of V. O. Klyuchevsky were donated to the museum by the researcher of his scientific heritage, R. A. Kireeva. The museum's exhibition consists of two sections: about the historian's life in Penza and about his scientific, pedagogical, and public activities. The museum provides an opportunity to see and learn about V. O. Klyuchevsky's work.
