Tsvetaev Family Museum
About museum
The Tsvetaev Museum is located in a wooden log house that belonged to the Tsvetaev family from 1853 to 1928. They lived here for almost 75 years, and their grandfather Vladimir Vasilievich was a priest. Of the Tsvetaev brothers, the best known is Ivan Vladimirovich, the ideological inspirer and founder of the Alexander III Museum of Fine Arts. In 1988 the house was purchased by the state and converted into a museum. In 1995 it was opened to visitors and offers a unique glimpse into the life of priestly and peasant families. In addition, the annual Tsvetaev Readings are held here, where visitors can meet descendants of the family, members of the creative intelligentsia, representatives of Tsvetaev museums in Russia, local historians and other interesting people. There is also a monument to Ivan Vladimirovich Tsvetaev on the museum grounds. Thus, this museum offers visitors a unique opportunity to immerse themselves in the atmosphere of the past and feel the spirit of the times by coming into contact with its relics.
