Russian Izba Museum
About museum
In 2015 librarian Galina Konstantinovna Antonova created the Russian Izba Museum. Over the preceding years she had collected many household items from the peasant life of the village of Spas-Vitaly, and thanks to this the museum offers interactive programs as well as Orthodox and folk celebrations for all age groups. The most popular are the folkloric interactive programs, such as 'Akulinka's Morning', 'A Visit to the Stove', 'Where the Domovoi Lives', 'By the Samovar', 'Christmas', 'Egoriy Veshny', 'Maslenitsa', 'Easter Patterns', 'Trinity (Pentecost)', 'Cabbage Evenings', 'Pokrov Gatherings', 'How My Mother Sent Me Off', 'Village Get-togethers'. The Russian Izba Museum invites everyone to learn about the culture and traditions of the village of Spas-Vitaly.
