Lights of Vladimir Museum
About museum
The museum staff have created an interactive collection featuring household items that visitors can touch and examine. During the tour, the guide sequentially switches on various light sources: wooden splints, handheld and street lanterns, carriage and bicycle lamps, and various bulbs and lighting fixtures. As visitors travel through different eras, they will learn about the history of lighting and the development of modern science. The tour at the Lights of Vladimir Museum won first place in the "Best Interactive Educational Tour" category in 2020 in the "Living Lessons" competition, organized by the Committee for Children's and Family Tourism, established by the All-National Union of the Hospitality Industry together with the federal "Living Lessons" project, with the support of the Federal Agency for Tourism (Rostourism).
