Lighthouse Service Museum
About museum
The Lighthouse Service Museum is a special place dedicated to lighthouses and their keepers. It features working models of lighthouses, giant lenses, and optical lighting equipment. The exhibition is located in the historic premises of Fort Constantine. Here you can take on the role of a keeper, a sailor, and a tester thanks to the interactive exhibits. In addition, visitors are given a unique opportunity to inspect the devices used on lighthouses and navigational marks in Russia and Europe. A distinctive feature of the museum is the display of the oldest lens in the Baltic, manufactured as early as 1857. The museum halls are filled with lighthouses flashing their light codes, as well as huge lenses, acetylene light sources, and portable lanterns. A visit to the museum includes a free guided tour and engaging activities.
