Museum of the History of Higher Education of YAGU
About museum
Nikolai Sofronovich Alekseev, an assistant in the Department of Philosophy, decided to create the Museum of the History of Higher Education of YAGU on a community basis. In the 1970s it was supervised by the Department of Philosophy and the Department of Social Sciences. At the First Republican Forum of YAGU alumni the museum made an impressive impression with its beautifully produced exhibits showcasing the achievements of higher education. However, to date the panel displays in the museum's exhibition hall have not been fully reorganized. For each faculty and institute a plan-content of the exhibition is prepared, and deans are asked to provide documentary materials for the reorganization of the hall, but not all deans and institute directors fulfill this request. The exhibitions of the faculties and institutes do not meet the requirements for presenting the histories of the institute and faculty, so they need to be redesigned.
