A.M. Ronzhin Museum of Peasant History
About museum
In 1972 a collective farm museum was opened to visitors; it was awarded the title "People's" and twice reaffirmed its excellence - in 1984 and 1989. The museum conducts patriotic education for youth and environmental education. It houses more than 10,000 items, including artifacts from the Kovrov hillfort, objects of peasant daily life, and the history of the leading farms of the Kotelnich district. On display are hand-woven wedding towels, miniatures of the Korets family, and works by graphic artists and photographers. Materials about notable countrymen A.V. Prokoshina, A.D. Chervyakov, and A.M. Ronzhin are also presented. The museum's goal is to preserve the memory of the working people of past years.
