The Museum of Islamic Culture is a structural subdivision of the Kazan Kremlin Museum-Reserve, located on the basement level of the Kul Sharif Mosque. It offers visitors a general overview of the world religion of Islam and its role in the history and culture of the Tatar people. The museum's exhibition includes 17th-century Arabic manuscripts, ceramics and glazed tiles from the Golden Horde period, a model of the Nur-Ali Mosque that stood in the Kremlin in the 14th–15th centuries, a miniature Qur'an with a 19th-century case, and other exhibits. The museum also features an interactive exhibit called the "Leafing Qur'an", which allows visitors to hear surahs recited by famous reciters and to view the Arabic text alongside translations of the Holy Scripture. The museum conducts general and themed tours, master classes, quests, quizzes, and other cultural and educational programs for people of all ages.
