I.N. Ulyanov Museum
About museum
\r\nIn April 1970 the I.N. Ulyanov Museum was opened; it is located in the building of the former service wing of the Noble Institute. There, in 1855–1863, the progressive educator Ilya Nikolaevich Ulyanov worked. In 2012–2013 the museum was rebuilt, and on May 17, 2013 it opened its doors to visitors. It houses a permanent exhibition 'Ilya Nikolaevich Ulyanov in Penza and His Circle', which tells about his scientific research and the people who surrounded him. On the second floor of the museum is the exhibition 'The World of Penza's Social Estates: Family and Everyday Life in the 19th–20th Centuries', which presents the traditional way of life of Penza's social estates and shows their domestic interiors. Here you can see examples of duty and family love, as well as devoted service to the homeland. This museum will be of interest to all visitors, whether children, older people, or scholars.
