E. Yevtushenko Museum-Gallery
About museum
On July 17, 2010, the poet Yevgeny Alexandrovich Yevtushenko donated the Museum-Gallery in Peredelkino to the Russian Federation. It features a unique exhibition of Yevgeny Yevtushenko's original photographs "My Humanity", dedicated to the American master photographer Edward Steichen. The exhibition halls present a collection of works by artists of the 20th–21st centuries, including Pablo Picasso, Marc Chagall, Fernand Léger and others. The museum also recreates the poet's studio, where visitors can see photographs, documents, literary awards, the poet's books in various languages, and recordings of his performances. The collection also includes Mark Twain's personal cane, gifted to the poet in 1985. The poet's library contains posters, playbills and photographs from meetings with notable contemporaries. A special surprise is Boris Pasternak's book "My Sister — Life" with the author's dedication to the young poet.
