The Moscow State Museum 'Burganov House' is the only museum of surrealism in Moscow. It was established by decree of the Moscow government in 2001 and was supplemented with original works by the full member of the Russian Academy of Arts A. N. Burganov. The museum building is located at Bolshoy Afanasyevsky Lane, 15, bldg. 9 and Bolshoy Afanasyevsky Lane, 17, bldg. 1. The museum features the permanent exhibitions 'Alexander Burganov's Magical Realism' and 'Sculptural Art of the 1960s–1970s', as well as the sculptor's working studio. The museum's collections include works by A. Burganov, as well as works by other painters and sculptors, ancient sculpture and ceramics. The museum hosts temporary and permanent exhibitions.
