About museum
In February 2009 the Museum of Military Glory 'Gindukush' was opened, dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the withdrawal of troops from Afghanistan. The unusual design of the halls, using various materials, attracts visitors' attention from the first minutes. The museum's exhibits reflect the history of the Great Patriotic War and the Afghan war, including rare photographs, documents and soldiers' letters. It is a monument to the feats of the people of Tatarstan and veterans of all wars. The museum houses about 1,500 exhibits and the premises cover an area of 212 sq. m. A BRDM armored vehicle is installed at the entrance, and a memorial monument 'In Memory of Those Who Fell for the Fatherland' has been erected. The museum offers general and thematic tours, patriotic hours, museum lessons, quest games, cultural and educational events, public lectures and film lectures. A visit to the museum will provide unforgettable impressions even for the most discerning visitor.
