Museum of Autographs named after Emperor Nicholas II
About museum
The Museum of Autographs named after Emperor Nicholas II, currently the only museum of its kind in Russia, was founded in 1988 at the initiative of S. O. Volsky in Novosibirsk. Since the memory of Nicholas II had not yet been manifested in the city, it was decided to name the museum in his honor. The museum's aim is to collect and preserve for future generations samples of handwriting of people who have left a notable mark on history. A distinctive feature of the museum is that it collects autographs on photographs. Thus, the museum offers the opportunity to see the face of all humanity in its various manifestations: racial, linguistic, aesthetic, political, etc. The museum's collection includes autographs of well-known political and public figures of the modern era: presidents and prime ministers, constitutional monarchs of Europe and heads of Asian theocratic states, charismatic leaders and world figures.
