The territory of the Lyubytinsky district is one of the most unique places in terms of the number and preservation of cultural heritage sites. To study, preserve and develop cultural and educational tourism in the district, the municipal budgetary cultural institution 'Lyubytinsky Local History Museum' operates. As part of the 'Deep Russia' project, the museum created a cultural and educational center where visitors can learn about the daily life, occupations, customs and beliefs of the Slavs who lived in the areas along the middle reaches of the Msta River. The museum has also developed a system of lecture-and-excursion services designed for all categories of visitors, including the district's schoolchildren. Over many years the museum has become a popular and in-demand destination.
