Praskoveya Village Local History Museum
About museum
The History Museum of Budennovsky District opened on October 11, 2002, and began its work as part of the Culture Department of the Budennovsk State Territorial Administration. In 2004 the museum was transferred to the administration of the municipal formation of the village of Praskoveya, and in 2005 it was reorganized into the Praskoveya Village Center of Culture and Leisure. In 2007 the Municipal Cultural Institution "Praskoveya Village Local History Museum" obtained legal entity status. The museum's exhibition is arranged in chronological order from the earliest times to the present. It features paleontological items, archaeological finds, agricultural implements, documents, photographs from the early years of Soviet power, as well as materials on the oldest agricultural educational institutions in Stavropol and on the history of the development of viticulture and winemaking in the Prikumye region. The museum's collections comprise about 5,000 storage units.
