Local History Eco-Museum. Open-air Exhibition
About museum
On July 7, 2001, the ethnographic museum 'Echo of Yugra', headed by G. P. Marchenko, a representative of the indigenous population, was officially opened. In 2007 the museum was granted the status of the municipal cultural institution 'Local History Eco-Museum', and in 2011 it became an autonomous institution. The museum grounds feature a permanent exhibition of traditional Khanty dwellings. In 2014 another permanent exhibition was added — the eco-ethnographic trail 'Life in Harmony with Nature', which showcases traditional hunting and fishing methods. Thanks to SIBUR's charitable program 'Formula of Good Deeds', JSC 'SiburTyumenGaz' opened the 'Nekhes lek' rope park on the museum grounds in 2018, with two courses of different heights and difficulty levels. The museum also offers a park area with topiary sculptures and an interactive space made from natural materials. Visitors can learn more about the nature and ecological environment of their native region.
