The museum is a complex of materials about the life of the region from ancient times to the present. The 'History of the City' exhibition features objects, documents and materials about the city's construction, the pioneers and cultural life. It also describes the construction of the largest petrochemical complex in Europe. The 'Nizhnekamsk Antiquities' exhibition tells the history of the region from the 17th century. It presents ethnographic and old household items, clothing, jewelry, coins, books and much more. The Nature Hall displays a taxidermy collection 'Birds of Korabelnaya Grove' with more than 130 stuffed birds and animals, as well as an exotic collection 'Inhabitants of the Coral Reefs'. A separate hall houses the 'Retro Parlor of the Stakheev merchants', known for their entrepreneurial and charitable activities. The art hall and the decorative and applied arts hall are constantly updated, showcasing works by local artists and artisans.
